Greene County magistrate court, ending July 17

In Greene County magistrate court a judgment was entered against Emily Ann Chiafos of Jefferson on a charge of theft-fifth degree. She was fined $65 with a $22.75 surcharge. She must also pay $311 restitution. A charge of criminal mischief- fifth degree was dismissed. Court costs were $90.

Riley Jacob Rittgers of Paton was fined $200 with a $70 surcharge after he pleaded guilty to a charge of permitting person under age 18 to consume alcohol. He also pleaded guilty to a charge of violation of an executive order prohibiting a gathering of more than 10 persons; no fine was entered on that charge. Court costs were $112.25.

Dispositions were entered in three cases against Dale Sanford Arey of Grand Junction, each with a charge of violation of a no contact order. He was sentenced to a total of 19 days in jail, all consecutive. He was fined $65 with a $22.75 surcharge in each case. Court costs totaled $224.20.

Randall Gerald Venteicher of Scranton was sentenced to 30 days in jail after he pleaded guilty to a charge of domestic abuse assault. All but two days of the jail time was suspended and he was placed on probation to Boone/Greene County Probation for one year. He must complete an Iowa domestic abuse program. He was fined $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and a $100 domestic abuse surcharge. Court costs were $60.

Information is available since the return of an arrest warrant that Julie Lea Hurley Richardson of Newton has been charged with theft- fifth degree. The warrant was issued 1/06 and returned 7/14.

A cases was initiated in magistrate court against Justin Michael Cosnotti of Jefferson. He is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
